Hello! My name is David, and I recently won my seat on the Town Council of Witney (Burwell ward). As a resident of Witney, I am proud to call this town my home. I live with my fiancé Maisie, and our adorable 2-year-old Cockapoo, Marlow. You might have seen us around town, or in the pub, enjoying our time as a family.
Although I am new to politics, I am frustrated with how our council is run, and the level of services provided to the residents. I believe that I can make a difference, and I am committed to ensuring that the council works for the people it serves.
With a background in retail, I have the skills and experience needed to support my role as District Councillor. I have worked in retail development, change management, and car park operations, and I am confident that I can bring this expertise to my new role.
I will work hard to ensure that the local voice is heard, that services are delivered with good value, and that decision makers are held accountable. I believe that these three characteristics are essential to building a strong and vibrant community for residents, local businesses, and visitors.
